Miracles--Discharge and SWIMMING!!!! and BABY!!!!

Oh happy day! Well this has been an awesome week! I was discharged on the 21st. My parents, not realizing how soon I would be discharged, scheduled to get our wood floors refinished. This just happened to be my first three days after being discharged. So when we left the hospital we went straight over to the hotel. I knew there was a pool there and really wanted to go swimming...as evident by my previous post. :-) So I prayed and asked that the small open wound, from the stitch that was left, would heal before I left rehab, so I could go swimming. I couldn't go with any open skin. The wound was still there the weekend before I left and I was trying to figure out how I could make it work. I could put a waterproof bandage over it, and thinking of what other options I had because I really wanted to get in that pool! But not thinking about it healing, but making it work with having it there. Then the Saturday before I left, came...and there were drastic changes to the area. It was starting to heal! I was so surprised. At this time I still wasn't thinking it would be healed, and I wasn't worried. Then Tuesday the 21st came. The wound nurse came in, took the bandage off and said, "It's healed" Come again??? I wanted to say! I looked for myself and HELLO! It was closed! I had re-watched the story of John Tanner on the previous Sunday, and how his leg was healed. The drastic miracle of it healing was what really made an impression on me. If you haven't seen it, you can watch it here. It is in 2 segments.(There are many amazing lessons that can be learned from this great man and his family)

I couldn't believe the miracle that had just occurred. There was no other way to explain it. My  Dr.'s came in and they didn't believe me. Dr. Castillo looked and was completely amazed. He was high fiving me and said, "Wow! On the last day you are here!" I told him it was a miracle! He said wounds normally heal 5-10% a day but that was like 50% each day for the past couple of days. It was such an amazing blessing. I have been listening to this talk called, Receiving Answers to Prayer by Gene Cook and that's one of the reasons I decided to take the time and pray for it to heal. But I didn't feel like I fervently prayed about it. I could have taken a lot more time and really had more faith and trust. But I am thankful for a loving Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ who bless me even when I don't deserve it because I didn't finish doing the work, but knows the thoughts and intents of our hearts and gives us more than we ever think possible. It builds my testimony of prayer and faith and makes me want to be better. I still am amazed at how it healed so quickly. I am so thankful for miracles and how they remind us how close our Heavenly Father is to us and that he is aware of all our wants and needs and how much he loves us and wants to bless us.

Because of this great miracle I was able to go swimming! It was soooo fun! My brother and very pregnant sis-in-law swam also. They live about 5 mins from the hotel so it was very convenient for them to come over! It was fun seeing them so much.

Swimming was AWESOME! And then the last night at the hotel, Alan and Alyssa came over, we ate pizza and a few hours later they were in the hospital getting ready for Chloe to come!! Here are a few pictures of after she got here!

I am so grateful I was discharged from the hospital this week so I could be at the hotel with my parents and be here at this hospital, GBMC, to hold this beautiful miracle. :-) What a fabulous week it has been! The work of the Lord is truly amazing!!
