This weather really made me ache to be in the swimming pool! The sounds of the water bubbling up and falling over the edge, and smells of the chlorine!! Oh I was really wishing my dreams were coming true at that point! Just watch this video and you will feel the same way! If only I could put the smell into it, although you can imagine the chlorine smell on your own! haha
So I went back up to the top and decided to get as much of me as I could into that beautiful water...
Well, it's better than nothing! haha And after you take a dip in the pool you have to lay out to dry off so you don't get anything else wet as you leave...Don't worry, I took the time to dry off first before leaving the fountain :)
I am so excited to say that after 4 years...I can now go swimming!!! I am soooo excited!!!! Holy Tolido!! I just realized...I can now do Temple Baptisms!!! Now all I need is a temple worthy, strong, handsome guy...preferably single...to help me in the water...although the qualifications can be flexible...well all except for the 'temple worthy and strong' part. :) I feel so blessed that the Lord has finally healed my body of this wound! It has been a miracle and I can't wait to see what other fun adventures are waiting for me to embark on!
Later that day!!
For my second outing of the day I went up and down the hill in the garden and got a work out and then the sun went down so they closed the garden. It was such a beautiful day that I wasn't ready to go back inside...so I ventured out! I went touring the campus. Here are a couple of pictures, the parking garage is first, really exciting I know! But is shows how far away I got from the hospital!!! haha
This is a picture from across the street. My room is the one with all the blinds up. Right in the very middle of the picture.
On the way back I noticed this bench. Can you tell what makes this awesome?? I will tell you at the bottom of the pic if you can't figure it out!
They saved a spot for me next to the bench! :) And other people who use chairs with wheels :) Also in the background to the left it is hard or impossible to see but there is a playground and basketball courts for the children here at NRH. Too fun! Oh and I told my substitute physical therapist about my degree in Child Life and I told her I was shocked that they didn't have that program here. She suggested that I start it up here! I have already been thinking about that but it felt great to have the confidence from someone who I had just met! Well she did stretch my shoulders and that felt awesome!! So we were really friends by then! haha It was a nice day of exploring, and feeling and seeing the wonderful creations that our Heavenly Father has blessed us with.
Sunday!!
My parents, Michelle and Andrew, and Alan and Alyssa came down to have dinner with me tonight. My parents brought cold cut sandwich stuff and we went down to the cafeteria to eat. It was really great to be with my family.
Afterwards we went outside and I showed them around the garden. Now the mosquitoes are kind of bad down there. My arms have bites all over them. But to me its worth it to go outside. Alyssa and I went down to the fish pond while everyone else stayed by the fountain. Then everyone stands up and heads for indoors! Here is the mass exodus for the building...
Alyssa and I still walked the garden...because if you are moving the mosquitoes normally don't get you! I took some pictures of Alyssa...she is due in 1 week!!! And she looks great and is doing fantastic! I am glad I got to spend one on one time with her tonight! I took her to my special spot :)
Isn't she adorable! I am so grateful for such a wonderful family. I am grateful for the love and support that they give me. I am grateful for the prayers and the sacrifice that they offer in my behalf. I know I wouldn't be where I am today without them. And I can't wait to see my new niece!! Until next time remember..."Everyone smiles in the same language"-that was a poster on the wall in my Spanish class in high school. Too bad I don't remember Spanish like I do that sign these many years later! haha
Oh...and...I still want to go swimming :) lol
