Today marks another year passing on the day of my accident, the day my family and I began a new and amazing adventure. A few days after my accident, I was on heavy pain meds, my friend called to interview me over the phone for the school newspaper, she asked me how I was handling my new situation. I replied "it's neat! It's kinda like a new adventure!" And boy has my life been adventurous! :) I was going to college studying family science because I knew I wanted to do something with kids. But in all honesty I really was hoping to get married and start a family. I would use the schooling I had to raise my children and life was going to be perfect. Thankfully my life didn't turn out the way I "planned." Don't get me wrong I would love to have a husband and children but my life has been so greatly enriched by the amazing blessings from our Heavenly Father that I wouldn't trade them for anything. Just in the last 5 months alone I was accepted into the best internship ever for me!! I met so many wonderful people in Fort Wayne that taught me about the pure love of Christ, every single day!! And, by an absolute miracle, I finally finished my 8 year masters degree!! :)
So my friends, if you feel like you are on an "adventure" that you didn't sign up for, don't you dare give up!!! EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! You are worth it! You are important! Our Heavenly Father wants you to return to live with him again! And sometimes we have to go through hard things because it's the only way to get to see the rainbow. Just hold on, I know you will make it! In this short video the woman says
"I began to think that I was going to fail. But The Lord was not going to allow me to fail...And he does that for everybody"
I know this is true! The Lord wants us to succeed! He knows each one of us and He knows what we need in our lives to help us grow. I am so grateful for each one of you that have blessed my life just by being you! I wouldn't be who I am today without all of your love and support! Thank you so very very much!!
